Public Art

Public art has been a passion of mine since my first murals celebrating our high school sports and activities in 2002. Now that our kids are getting older I'm so excited to be fully back in the public art making space!!! we love elevating spaces!

Spirit of Community

Spirit of Community” is a celebration of Feddersen Community Center's supportive neighborhood and the care they provide for their center. A 2023 project of Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, on a court renovated by Ohio State head basketball coach, Chris and Lori Holtmann.

Our athletes, in athleisure wear as if passing through after one of the schools flanking the park, jump to shoot their shots, while the supportive hands of the community help them soar. Our subjects are two incredible humans who have ties to Columbus, one in her youth, the other as he seeks to continue his education. Both are skilled athletes, and more importantly they are empathic, responsible, driven, and involved teens.

Memory Garden

A 2022 project organized by Arts Place and generously funded by the Ohio Arts Council. The goal of this painting was to bring color to the small city park that connects the the library to the main drag of shops, and with the loose theme of ‘creativity’ Alison Hess and I used it to celebrate our father and late mother’s preferred creative outlets. We wanted figures that would peek out at people driving by, and an abstracted color field background at the base for a photo backdrop.

We highly recommend chilling on the patio of Guarnieris pizzeria across the street. 😄

Affirmation Park

In August 2020, we worked with our friends at Project Jericho and  The Conscious Connect to bring some color and creativity to an already vibrant and energetic community.

The Conscious Connect revitalized this space from two condemned houses, turning their footprint into a beautiful green space, reading park, disc golf, and basketball court. 21 Project Jericho teens chose this design and painted the court under our assistance.

This project would not have been possible without the support of the Ohio Arts Council
